The Great Horned Owl

Life is full of surprises, and sometimes something wonderful happens when least expected. For example, I've parked my car in the driveway thousands of times, same old same old, ho hum. That is until a Great Horned Owl swooped within five feet of my car, and landed in my neighbors tree! Grabbing my point and shoot, I was very happy not to frighten the owl, when the flash went off in the dark.

It is especially nice to photograph siblings who share a special bond. I feel so blessed to witness this type of relationship between siblings. Thank you for making my day so special.

Ashley and Chris : Engagement

Ashley and Chris are getting married next year, on May 15, 2010. Early last week we got together to shoot the engagement pictures. The setting was a woodsy area in Ashley's neighborhood. The foliage was peaking. The backlit leaves glowed in vivid shades of yellow, red and orange, filtering the sunlight and creating a very scenic background for our shoot. The second part of our shoot was a lot of fun and funny too. Ashley wanted to take some pictures with Chris, and her dog Reba, a two year old Great Dane with lots and lots of energy. Coaxing her to sit for 15 seconds was not an easy task and Ashley and Chris were very patient.  She eventually settled down long enough to take a few pictures! Good dog! Thank you, Ashley and Chris, for an awesome afternoon. We got some great pictures. Here are a handful from our shoot that day. I will be posting the rest of the pictures online.
